Baynes Memorial Baptist Church Matriculation Higher Secondary School comprises of Lower Kinder Gard en to Std. XII. The medium of instruction is English. The Madras English Baptist Church was founded on 21 November 1847. In 1850, the Church Started the Baptist Mission School in the Present Building 1. In the year 1900 the school was discontinued. The Rt Rev. Edward Aaron Chowryappah Baynes, B.D., served the Church faithfully from 1939-1969. When the present Sr. Missionary Pastor and Chairman, The Rt Rev. Dr.J.A.L. Baynes, S.B. took over, the Lord Jesus Christ guided the Board of Trustees to start the Baynes Memorial Baptist Church Matriculation School in the same Building 1 on January 4,1971
