A revolution was ignited in early 19th century when Maharishi Swami Dayanand Saraswati lighted ideas illuminating thought and radical social ideas illuminating the Indian Mind. Thus was born the Dayanand Aglo Vedic (D.A.V.) moment under the auspices of Arya Samaj the foundation for the present vast network of D.A.V. institutions. The year 1982 is the most memorable year in the history of D.A.V. Model School. Precisely in April 1982 the school was born and came into existence. After having gone through a long period of 25 eventful years making an exceptionally unprecedented progress. D.A.V Model School celebrated its well deserved “silver jubilee†in the year 2007. The name of Dr. Radha Krishan Thakur, a creative genius, an eminent educationist, a leading social worker, is the sole architect and founder of the school.
