D.A.V. Public School, Safilguda is a premier school that pioneered the D.A.V. movement in south. Beginning in a humble rented premise with about 200 students and 15 teachers in 1983, it moved into its own 3 and a half acre premises within three years. It has now burgeoned into a colossus with over 4000 students and 150 teachers housed in 120 rooms with state-of-theart infrastructure and high-end labs. Totally ICT enabled, the administration is facilitated with a sound network of communication. As the Nodal head of 43 schools of South Zone, it is a training centre and administrative head.The school aims to provide effective teaching and learning situations, which help students to develop critical thinking, problem solving, oral and written communication skills and ethical behaviour. We would equip our students with a set of life skills which will help them to become what they are meant to be – sensitive, caring, intelligent persons who are a credit to all who have had a hand in their upbringing.At D.A.V., the syllabi and course of study are designed according to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi till secondary level - Class X and at the +2 level. The options for +2 level students are MPC with Biotechnology/Computers and BPC with Biotechnology/ Computers. The Arts Group offers Math, Economics and Commerce with Computer as an optional subject.
