• Our school is one of Mussoorie’s reputed boarding schools and was established in 1966 • In 2017, we partnered with the prestigious Welham Boys’ School in Dehradun, and the same management also runs the school with Chairman, Mr.Darshan Singh at the head. Mussoorie Public School is situated in the heart of the town. Sites adjoining Mussoorie Public School are the famous Rope Way to Gun hill and the General Post Office, which is close to the main entrance of the school. The famous Camel’s Back Road also provides the school with its second entrance, where vehicles can reach right up to the school campus. Principal : Mr. Vishal Singh • The Principal, Mr. Vishal Singh has over 27 years of experience in the education sector. He has been a teacher of Mathematics in the ICSE and IB curriculum for more than a decade in some of the premier institutions of India and Nepal. He has held a leadership position for 8 years in his previous school which was a boarding school of repute in Bangalore. So, he is well versed with the various aspects running a boarding school with efficiency and competence. School-Parent interactions We have 4 PTMs in a year, besides the Director, along with the Principal and Parents Open House interactions to discuss questions and concerns from parents. Teachers • Our teachers are well qualified and have expertise in their subjects. • We try to maintain a low student-teacher ratio so that students are able to get personal attention – we ensure a maximum of 25 students in one section • We also have senior visiting faculty from Welham Boys’ School, Dehradun to interact with and give guidance to the staff, regularly. • Teachers living on the campus interact with the students after school hours also. • Educational support & extra care are provided by teachers after school hours. Tuitions are also made available on request. Extra-curricular activities • We have different options for students to participate in extra-curricular activities. For example – we have teachers who coach students in music, dance, debates, elocution, quiz, etc. • Sports – we have many different sports facilities such as an indoor badminton court, table tennis tables, a basketball court; we also coach students for games such as skating,cricket and football • Yoga classes are also held in the morning. • Our students keep participating in various inter-house and inter-school tournaments, both within Mussoorie and in other cities. This gives them a great opportunity to get exposure and interact with children from other schools • Trekking is organized each year to build the qualities of teamwork and leadership in students Teaching process • Smart Class rooms. • The teachers ensure that all students understand the subject well and our principal constantly monitors all the classes to ensure good quality of teaching and sufficient involvement of student • We have regular internal examinations and tests to assess the students • We conduct open house sessions with the principal and the parents Infrastructure facilities • Our campus has all modern amenities for our students • We have a dedicated mess for preparing healthy and hygienic food for our boarders. The staff also eats the same food • We have an infirmary with an in-house nurse and a visiting doctor • We have separate dormitories for girls and boys with trained wardens and attendants to take good care of the students. • Other facilities include a well-stocked library, an auditorium, a gymnasium. • We also have modern laboratories for science streams such as physics, chemistry and biology for senior classes Results • All our students secure good percentages in the 10th and 12th boards and the results are 100% Career counselling • We also invite experts for counselling the children on choosing the right careers Other things to keep in mind • We have a strong security system to keep students safe always • Students are allowed to visit the town, twice in a month on weekends, or on special occasions, along with teachers or wardens accompanying them.
